Catherine is the lead Geotechnical Engineer at Longitude with over 15 years experience in geotechnical engineering, and specialisation in the offshore sector since 2008. Catherine joined Longitude having previously worked as as a senior project engineer she was responsible for the project management of several offshore wind farm projects both in the UK and French sectors.
Catherine’s focus has been principally on front end project activities such as desk study, geohazard and geotechnical analysis, project development planning and survey management, with client representation on several offshore projects. She was also privileged to be asked to work under secondment to EDF Renewables as part of their project team to deliver the Blyth Demonstrator Project. As part of the project team Catherine developed the ground model of the site, whilst being responsible for the management of external geotechnical design consultants, environmental management, UXO, and archaeological requirements.
At Longitude Catherine has become an integral part of the team working with colleagues from all areas of the LOC Group to provide input into a wide range of projects. These have included pipe/soil interaction studies and burial risk to provide clients with the full range of cable stability analyses. Leg/mat penetration assessments, SSA input and rig selection services for the movement MOPUs for the oil and gas industry.
