Daniel McGowan is a Chartered Engineer with an MSc in Safety and Reliability Engineering and a BEng in Chemical Engineering. Daniel joined the ABL group with ADD Energy in 2019 as Operations Manager ensuring the delivery and assurance of all projects in the organization, he was part of the $60m project to transition a global Maximo system into SAP. He has since taken responsibility for Offshore Projects at Longitude Engineering, where his role gives him oversight of all large offshore projects at feasibility, concept, Pre-FEED and FEED in both the Oil and Gas and Renewables sector.
Daniel’s career has allowed him to gain extensive experience with offshore and onshore operations in technical and management roles. He was responsible for developing and managing the Global Engineering Assurance team for Premier Oil following the intervention of the HSE and the shutting down of the North Sea FPV for over 10 days. During his time at Premier, Daniel led Catcher FEED and was asked to deliver Solan from the Methil and Dubai yard to meet HLV window.
He spent the first 15 years of his career with operators in roles ranging from process engineering to operations superintendent, whilst onshore working in roles such Engineering Manager through to Project Manager/Director. The other 15 years has been spent in consultancy organisations providing solutions to a range of problems in oil and gas, bio fuels, distilling and renewables.
