Can you give us a glimpse into your day-to-day life at Longitude?
Every day is a mix of technical challenges and teamwork. I focus on designing and analysing structures, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring our projects meet safety and efficiency standards. Site visits and problem-solving keep things dynamic and engaging.
What inspired you to join your profession?
I’ve always been fascinated by how structures come to life—from concept to reality. The idea of designing something that will stand strong for decades, especially in demanding environments, inspired me to pursue structural engineering.
Can you share with us something exciting that you are currently working on?
I’m currently working on the design of jacket foundations for an offshore wind farm. It’s exciting because it combines technical engineering aspects, which strengthens my experience and the skills of my team.
Looking ahead, what do you think is key to driving sustainability in your industry?
Advancing material efficiency, optimizing design for reduced environmental impact, Global supply chain and process optimization and integrating renewable energy solutions are key.
Collaboration across disciplines and embracing new technologies will also play a huge role in making our industry more sustainable.
Besides work, what do you enjoy most working within the ABL Group?
The great team spirit! In the Nantes office, we have a fantastic culture where most of us come to the office rather than working from home, creating a lively and collaborative atmosphere. Plus, sharing local pastries almost every day makes our coffee breaks even better—it’s a small tradition that brings everyone together.
