What does your day-to-day look like at Longitude?
I work closely with my teammates on conceptualising innovative ship designs to provide game changing solutions to meet our clients’ needs and challenges.
What inspired you to join your industry?
I like the fast paced nature of the maritime industry. I am also fascinated by the ever evolving innovations in ship design – how ships started off being powered by traditional sails, undergoing a transition to fossil fuels and now the next transition to cleaner sources of energy such as batteries, ammonia, hydrogen and even wind power making a comeback.
Can you tell us about something exciting you are working on right now?
I am excited to work in a team which is really at the forefront of engineering the energy transition, contributing towards a greener world for future generations by designing novel low emission ships and introducing them to the maritime industry.
What is the future look like for Longitude’s vessel design team in the region?
Longitude continues to build on our track record of delivering cost effective and fit-for-purpose ship design solutions to solve our clients’ evolving challenges. We have a particular focus on clean fuel ship design to drive the energy transition of the maritime industry and to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
