Longitude were contracted to undertake the design the foundations for monopile and wind turbine tower spreads on the deck of the Seajacks Zaratan.
The work included the preparation of hydrostatic, hydrodynamic and structural models of the vessels from which stability, motions and installation analyses were then undertaken. The design work included the main grillages for the transportation of turbine towers in the upright orientation, 800t lifting beam for pile movements, grillages and seafastenings for pile installation equipment. The design work was undertaken keeping in mind the reusability of equipment on other vessels in the fleet.
