OSD-IMT has designed the IMT978 to meet the need for a cost-effective load carrier which can also double as a standby vessel if required. It also has to meet the demanding safety standards of all the different authorities overseeing the European continental shelf offshore fields, and have very good sea-keeping and maneuvering qualities in order to service deepwater platforms in high energy sites such as the very high North Sea.
