ZEIT A & C Asset Integrity
Longitude provided a range of services in facilities and subsea engineering, including:
- Advanced simulation and analysis
- Pipeline engineering
- Metocean analysis
- Structural and fatigue analysis
- Fitness for service (FFS) analysis
About the project
ZEITCO operates two platforms in the Red Sea, Offshore Egypt.
- East Zeit A, an 8-pile construction designed in 1985 and installed in 1986.
- East Zeit X, a 4-pile double batter construction, designed in 2002 and installed in 2003.
The platforms are connected by two 1.6km long 8” pipelines.
There are also two pipelines running to a shore terminal, a 10” crude oil line and a 14” gas line.
Longitude was tasked with assessing the topsides, jackets, and the connected pipelines.

Our scope of work
Longitude provided a range of facilities and subsea engineering services to deliver on the following scope:
- Modelling of jacket and topside of A and C platforms
- Assessment of pipeline condition based on survey
- Assessment of strength and fatigue in A’s inspected condition
- Derive historic metocean conditions using wave model data
- Preparation of fitness for service report
The results
Longitude was able to complete a detailed assessment of the Zeit A and C platforms and pipelines by making use of past and current survey data.
Through a structural assessment of the platform for in-place strength and fatigue based on the results of recent inspections, a fitness for service assessment was completed.
