Service Introduction
Longitude provides design and engineering services for subsea cables, with experience in various advanced analyses and simulations for risk mitigation in cable lay operations.
We offer services needed by customers to design cable routes, identify risks and opportunities in cable lay operations, vessel mobilisation, cable protection, and maintain and repair cables for offshore wind projects.
Our offering is supported by the practical and operational experience in subsea cable lay operations of our sister company, the marine surveying branch of ABL Group, ABL.
Offshore Substations Market Challenges
- Cable lay installation techniques and new techniques to content contend with emerging risks
- Hostile environments, deeper waters and new geographies
- Costs in potential operations and maintenance
- Supply chain constraints
- Technological integration and grid connection
Our Subsea Cable Engineering Services
Longitude’s operational-focused submarine cable installation services include skidding moorings, cable lay and pull, analysed in simulations using Orcaflex – the industry-standard software applied to these operations. Longitude has also developed its own tool for automating the pre- and post-processing of cable installation analyses, allowing us to handle an increasing number of environmental cases.
